Privacy policy

How we handle your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Last updated: 24 September 2026

1. Who we are

J&J Innovations ("we", "us") supplies branded corporate gifts, clothing and promotional products in South Africa. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy. Our Information Officer is the owner of J&J Innovations, who you can reach at info@jjin.co.za or +27 83 212 5585.

2. What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us:

  • Quote requests: your name, company, email address, phone number, the details of your request and any logo or artwork you upload.
  • Emails, calls and WhatsApp messages: your contact details and whatever you include in your message.
  • Orders: delivery and invoicing details needed to complete your order.

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and troubleshooting.

3. Why we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes and artwork proofs.
  • To produce, deliver and invoice your order.
  • To keep records we are legally required to keep, such as tax records.

We process your information because you asked us to (consent and taking steps towards a contract), to carry out our contract with you, or to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your information, and we will not send you marketing unless you ask us to.

4. Who we share it with

We only share information where it is needed to serve you:

  • Service providers who run our systems: our website host (Microsoft Azure) and our email provider (Microsoft 365). If you contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to that conversation.
  • Suppliers and couriers, who receive only what they need, such as your logo for branding or a delivery address.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store information outside South Africa. When they do, we rely on providers that are bound by data-protection laws or agreements that give protection similar to POPIA.

5. How long we keep it

We keep quote requests that don't lead to an order for up to 12 months. We keep order and invoice records for as long as tax and company law require, which is generally 5 years. After that we delete or destroy the information.

6. How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections to this website, password-protected business email and limited access within our business.

7. Your rights

Under POPIA you may:

  • ask whether we hold your personal information and request a copy of it;
  • ask us to correct or delete it;
  • object to us processing it, or withdraw your consent;
  • lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

To make a request, email info@jjin.co.za. We may need to confirm your identity first.

8. The Information Regulator

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also contact the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
